We’re nearly there now! The conference begins in less than 48 hours and we’re very excited. Last minute details are being circulated/collected from delegates and tomorrow sees us putting the packs together. No major crisis as yet, and for once everyone seems to be very impressed with the conference dinner options! No stuffed chicken breasts for us!
A revised version of the progamme is now available - follow the ‘programme’ link on the bottom right of this page…
The provisional programme is now available! Follow the ‘programme’ link on the bottom right of this page to take a look. It is also available in an easier-to-read pdf version; email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a copy. We hope you agree that it looks like a great couple of days!
We are currently finalising the provisional programme - very exciting! It will be circulated to all speakers once it is finished. If you aren’t speaking but would like to see it then please email email@example.com
I have just booked a twin room for single use but I would welcome the opportunity to share my room with one of other speakers, since I am not so familiar with the Kingston area. I hope hearing from you!

The latest ‘Women in Magazines’ conference poster is now doing the rounds. If you receive it, then please pass it on as widely as possible (if you haven’t already got a copy and would like to then please just email firstname.lastname@example.org).
The event looks set to be a great couple of days - good enough to match the fab poster! Special thanks go to US Vogue for supplying us with such a great image from their archives.
I would be very pleased to share accomodation with someone.

One of the conference delegates asked if we were aware of any other delegates travelling some distance and possibly looking for a roommate to share accommodation (and therefore accommodation costs!) over the period of the conference. This seems like a great idea, so we are going to create a page on this blog where people can post if they are interested in this. Click on the ‘looking to share accommodation?’ link on the right of here…
From organising one conference (History of Women in the Americas) to another (Women in Magazines), & trying to sort 80+ papers in c24 coherent panels. The phrase ‘herding cats’ springs to mind!
